WordySpot terms of service
Effective and last updated: August 25, 2026
I am one person, and WordySpot is a project I build and run myself. These terms are the short version of how it works between us. If something here is unclear, email me and I will answer.
Your account
You sign in with an account from another provider, or with a link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to whatever you sign in with. One person, one account. You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live; if you are under 13, please do not sign up.
What you put into WordySpot
Texts you add, lists you build, and word packs you publish stay yours. You keep ownership of them. By publishing a word pack you make it visible to other people, and you give me permission to store and display it for that purpose — nothing more.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Please do not add content you have no right to, and do not use WordySpot to distribute copyrighted books to other people.
Behaviour
Do not use WordySpot to harass anybody, to post illegal content, to break into things, or to hammer the service in a way that degrades it for others. Automated scraping and resale of the service are not allowed.
If an account is used for any of that, I may suspend it. Where I reasonably can, I will tell you why and give you a chance to respond, and you can always email me to contest it.
Availability, and what I do not promise
WordySpot is provided as it is. I do not promise it will be available without interruption, that analysis will always be correct, or that dictionary definitions will be right for every context. There is no uptime guarantee, and no service-level agreement — one person cannot honestly offer one.
Keep your own copies of anything you would be upset to lose. There is an export in your account settings, and I recommend using it.
Ending things
You can stop using WordySpot at any time and ask me to delete your account and its data. I may discontinue the service; if I do, I will give notice and time to export your data first.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, I will update the date above and say so in the changelog. Continuing to use WordySpot after that means the new version applies.
